I was honored to have been invited to the team assembling the festival, and while I can’t make it to New Orleans myself, I’m with everyone in spirit. Van’s graphic novel PINOCCHIO: VAMPIRE SLAYER , illustrated by Dustin Higgins, will be available from Slave Labor Graphics at the end of October, and he’s filled us in on his hilarious take on the vampire genre

Vampire Film Festival Looking For Submissions and Votes

The New Orleans Vampire Film Festival is open for business and looking for film submissions as well as your votes on a Vampire Trailer Contest set up on YouTube. Those interested in submitting their films can do so until September 16, 2009. It’s not just vampires that the festival is featuring; also welcome are zombies, werewolves, witches, and ghosts.
